Check list when you subscribe to the to the service

Check the stipulated time and cancelation charges

The company may set obligatory use period in condition of supporting terminal purchase price, and when the user cancels the contract during the period, the user should pay cancelation charge. The calculation standard of cancelation charge including discount return is different depending on the company, rate system, individual agreement, so confirm the relevant contents by asking the customer service center or checking the agreement
If users’ mandatory use periods expire, the business operators should notify them of this before the termination of agreements. If the users don’t make new contracts or ask for cancelation before the termination of the agreements, the contracts are automatically extended. But, if they cancel the contracts during the automatic extension period, they don’t have to pay cancelation charges

When users select a rate system, check basic contents specified in user agreements and select the rate system which is suitable for you by considering your service usage patterns
The charges consist of monthly minimum, call charges, additional services, and installation charges. Discount benefits can be provided in partnership with card companies or insurance companies

Membership of minors

When a minor is singing up for internet phone service, guardian(legal representative in civil law)’s consent is essential, and the company can require additional documents like legal representative’s ID card, family relation certificate, consent
Contract concluded without the guardian’s consent can be required to be canceled, and it is not necessary to pay charge and cancellation charge

Benefits including exemption of charges

Beneficiary of national basic livelihood , handicapped people, people of national merit can receive discount in charges if they submit the documents to prove the welfare status. The subject may differ depending on the company, so confirm the clause of the company

Check if the service is opened

이If the service is delayed for a certain period of time after subscription to the service, users can receive compensation including exemption from the charges. Please check users’ agreements of each carrier because the criteria about compensation are different according to carriers. You should check the time that the service is opened meticulously not to cause damage due to delay of the service after membership

Subscribe to changing carriers

The user can apply for number transfer with using the existing phone number instead of 070 number. Since the limit and regulations are different depending on the company, the user should check the contents or clause before application

Membership procedure

If you try to subscribe to the internet phone service, submit an application form and required documents by visit to windows by you or your representatives, phone, or mail. If your representatives ask for membership, they need identifications cards of the mandators or representatives. If subscribers for membership are different from persons who pay charges, business operators check payers’ consent by phone, etc
Business operators can restrict users’ subscription for membership if they use others’ names illegally or submit false documents, installation places are improper, or there are unpaid bills or deterioration of credit rating.
The company gives usage contract including the basic information of the contract, service opening date, charge, rights protection and duties of the users, and after sign up, the evidence documents should be stored and checked to prove the imputation of the company in case of damage relevant to application occur

Payment of installation charges

Users should bear expenses about purchase, rental, installation of terminals which are necessary for use of the internet phone service when you subscribe to it. The installation charges can be discounted or exempted according to the stipulated time of users. If they cancel it during the stipulated time, they should pay cancelation charges. In addition, they should be responsible for indemnification if rental equipment is lost or damaged
